Former Gunner had only good things to say about Pochettino's men
Tottenham were in sensational form today.
Mauricio Pochettino's side faced arguably their toughest fixture of the festive season as they travelled to Goodison Park to take on Everton.
But Spurs showed their quality and their title credentials with a stunning 6-2 victory.
They actually came from behind, with Theo Walcott opening the scoring for the Toffees.
But thereafter, Spurs were exceptional.
Two goals from Son Heung-min, two from Harry Kane and one each from Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen secured a fabulous three points.
It was a truly stunning performance and one that, given Manchester City's defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday, puts Spurs firmly in the title race.
They are six points behind league leaders Liverpool and now just two behind City.
Mauricio Pochettino continues to say that City and Liverpool are the favourites, with many pundits of the same opinion.
However, Spurs are putting themselves in a position to make a challenge with those two.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright could not believe what he witnessed at Goodison Park, and as a former Gunners player, and Gunners fan, he is concerned by the improvements and strides Spurs continue to make under Mauricio Pochettino.
Wright tweeted during the 6-2 thrashing: "Tottenham frighten me," with an astonished face emoji.

Great result, truth be told, will they ever win anything? So sad, a trophy cabinet full of cobwebs.

Tottenham are completely in this title race and they have a shot just like city and pool at winning the EPL if they really go for it with blood and sweat there is nothing stopping them from doing what Leicester did two years ago(2016)

Everton haven’t helped themselves by going into this game with a suicidal balance in midfield. The Spurs front four must think it’s Christmas! Oh...

They’re very impressive but have they got what it takes when the pressure mounts. At the moment it looks like a 3 horse race.
