The Lyon star has made quite a name for himself in Ligue 1
Chelsea are believed to be the latest club to be keeping tabs on Lyon superstar Houssem Aouar.
Making a big impression in his home country since breaking into the first team at the Groupama Stadium in February 2017, a number of Europe's top clubs have been mentioned regarding a future move for the 20-year-old.
Liverpool are believed to be very keen on Aouar and have reportedly been tracking him for over a year now.
Amid reports that Maurizio Sarri is 'desperate' to lure the youngster to west London, RMC Sport in France claim that the Blues have 'supervised' him over the past few weeks and he's in the manager's 'good books' for the future.
While a move away from the Ligue 1 club looks a real possibility in the future providing he keeps up his impressive form, Aouar, who has scored three goals in his last three games, previously stated that he would like to remain with his boyhood club even if some of Europe's biggest clubs come knocking.
"Since I was a kid, I wanted to play for Lyon," he told L'Equipe (via Sport Witness ). "Even if there were approaches, my childhood dream came before everything.
"I was born in Lyon, that’s where I grew up, saw my elders succeed.
"I play for the club of my heart, so I’m in my dream."
Linked with a big-money move to Anfield over the last year, Aouar opened up about seeing his names in the headlines during a further interview with France Football.
"I hear the rumours, like you," he said. "I have ears!
"I have eyes too, to see a few things left and right. The guy who says he doesn’t hear stuff or listen to anything, is not telling the truth. But there’s nothing you can do. All of that doesn’t bother me.
"I’m well protected with my family. It’s nice to hear, but I’m not getting carried away. My feet are firmly on the ground. I’ve only got a good half-season behind me, and I have everything to develop at Lyon."
On a potential move to Barcelona in the future, he added: "Of course, but that applies to every great club! It’s normal to be ambitious at 19."

How many midfielders does Liverpool need? Off the top of my head: Fabinho, Henderson, Milner, Chamberlain, Lallana, Wijnaldum, Keita and another one? For 3 positions?

How can he be the key in his plan if he's only been monitored for a couple of weeks? Seems like a massive stretch.

Good to know Chelsea keeping tabs on midfielders. It's also a hint that they don't think they'll be able to retain Kovacic past this season. And if Bakayoko keeps up his current form, Milan can buy him for £40m.

I remember at the end of last season Lyon fans were hyping him a lot, has he kept form? How good has he been?

If they buy him, the best thing is to loan him back to them for 1 Year. . If he goes straight to Chelsea now, he won't get enough chance to grow.

Chelsea dont need another midfielder striker yes

He's a quality ball playing midfielder with very good technical ability but I don't think Chelsea need him when they have players like Barkley, Kovavic, Loftus Cheek and Mount back from loan that can fill in these positions. He's better off at Arsenal where he should be a guaranteed starter based on what I've seen from him. Chelsea should focus on getting a striker, right winger and a right back for now.

If Ramsay is 100% off good buy, needs to release the ball fast like Santi did. Barca have Arthur who looks quality and Chelsea have jorginho
