Quique Setien will be in the job at Barcelona for the rest of the 2019/20 season and he will therefore oversee their Champions League duties.
Despite coming under pressure after losing out on LaLiga Santander, the coach has managed to keep hold of his job... for now.
What happens next will largely depend on their Champions League fate and how they fare, firstly, against Napoli.
In order to do well on the continent, Setien has to polish off a number of problems in his team.
Find chemistry
It's clear that Barcelona have internal problems.
Sparks have flown, darts have been thrown and there's talk that things aren't right with Lionel Messi.
If they are to do anything in Europe, the Catalans need to rediscover their team spirit or Gennaro Gattuso's Napoli will knock them out.
Sort out the defence
Marc-Andre ter Stegen has been a huge player this season, which shows that Barcelona have problems at the back.
Gerard Pique has been reliable, but nobody else has shown enough consistency.
Nelson Semedo, Clement Lenglet and Jordi Alba all need to step up.
Problems in midfield
Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal are suspended against Napoli, while Arthur Melo's problems are well documented ahead of his move to Juventus.
Ivan Rakitic, Frenkie de Jong and Sergi Roberto will have to deliver, while Riqui Puig could even be turned to.
The system
Since football's return, Setien has tried and tested a number of systems, most likely looking ahead to August 8.
The 4-4-2 left the best impression, using a narrow diamond in midfield against Villarreal.
Riqui Puig and Ansu Fati
The youngsters have shown promise and have earned a place in the coach's plans.
But delivering in the Champions League's knockout rounds is a different challenge.
Recover Griezmann
Antoine Griezmann has had a strange season so far and if he was replicating his Atletico Madrid form, Barcelona would be a more serious contender.
He'll be ready in time, just back from an injury, and he'll have to hit the ground running.

What he needs to do is simple.Hand in his resignation letter, pack his staffs and leave.Barca need a new coach, or I'm afraid they won't go past Napoli with this management

Start with a 4-4-2 (pic)diamond! Suarez and Griezmann up front leading the line with Griezmann slightly behind Suarez... Messi must start as a CAM and can be assisted by Riqui Puig.... While this happens, Rakitic can drop a bit back and form a double pivot with de Jong. Ideally during transition, Barça will have a 4-2-2-2 with Puig and Messi being the play makers and Rakitic and de Jong acting as the double pivot. Semedo and Alba can attack the sides and effectively have a 4-2-4 (pic) during attack... While defending, Suarez and Messi can stay next to the half line, Griezmann must drop back along with Puig and form a 4-4-2 (pic) block...

finally, something positive for pique... everybody criticizes pique because of his tweets, which is not completely his fault, you can't restrict a player from writing positive for his own club... his fault is that he does that while criticizing real sometimes and shows his tantrums... other than that, he is probably the most complete defender after ramos (just because ramos scores goals)... he can play as a stopper, he can play as a ball playing defender, he can play as a defensive midfielder, has great abilities in every aspect of defending... he is also one of the most consistent defenders of this era... his awareness is also the best, not exaggerating (he was the only player aware during that corner at anfield), his pace is the reason he can't catch upto the players sometimes... pique is actually overhated, not overrated
