Albania’s Nedim Bajrami made history when he scored in the opening seconds of his team’s Euro 2024 opener against Italy today.
Nedim Bajrami scored the fastest goal in the history of the European Championship today, as Albania got their Euro 2024 campaign off to a dream start in their Group B opener against Italy.
Bajrami fired past Gianluigi Donnarumma with just 24 seconds at Dortmund’s Signal Iduna Park - smashing the record for the Euros’ earliest goal.
According to UEFA, Russia’s Dmitri Kirichenko had scored the tournament’s previous fastest goal, scoring against Greece after 67 seconds in a group-stage clash at Euro 2004.
