David Villa played better as a central forward at Valencia which was why Barcelona signed him in the first place. After he joined Barcelona he was played out of his preferred position due to the presence of messi who was utilised by pep guardiola as a false nine. Nonetheless David still strived and did well at Barcelona. I for one, preferred David at Valencia.
