There has already been plenty of business done in the sumemr transfer window, with Arsenal set to secure two more deals in the next week with moves for Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber
Arsenal are set to sign Declan Rice from West Ham United in a deal worth £105million. The Hammers skipper was expected to complete his medical on Friday, with the transfer expected to be announced next week.
It will make Rice the most expensive British player in history, with the transfer topping the £100million Manchester City spent on Jack Grealish.
And former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke explained why City did not pursue their interest. Yorke was speaking to BoyleSports who offer the latest Premier League odds here and said: "There's a clear reason why Man City backed out of the Declan Rice signing, they don't think he's worth £105million. But that's the nature of business in football nowadays, it's a billion-pound industry.
"If Arsenal's owners have deep pockets and are willing to spend that money, then let them."
There have been plenty of confirmed transfers already in this summer window with all of the big teams making moves. Mason Mount left Chelsea to complete a £60million move to Manchester United, and Yorke believes that is a better signing for the Red Devils than Rice to Arsenal.
He added: "West Ham's valuation of Rice probably comes from Enzo Fernandez's price, plus he's English so that adds on a few million. I understand why Rice is built up the way he is, he's an English international and he does really good things in the game but £105million is a lot of money.
"Mason Mount for £60million is 100% a better deal than Rice for £105million. Mount will score more goals, obviously, they're different positions so it's harder to compare, but Mount is as talented as anyone else."

If it’s arsenal signing, it’s too much money but if it’s Manchester United it’s good money. Can someone say something about Anthony’s 80 million move to Manchester United

What do you expect from a man hater fan, they hate everything about Arsenal, why not compare Saliba 27m and Maguire 80m, or 85m Anthony to free academy boy Saka, sensible people will be comparing Mount to Kai Harvertz who play in similar positions not with a defensive midfielder
