According to previous reports, Real Madrid is making an offer to RB Leipzig for Diomande. Some netizens dug up an interview with the Ivorian forward after he played against Real Madrid during his time at Leganés, where Diomande hinted that Real Madrid always receives favorable treatment from referees.

In March 2025, in La Liga's 29th round, Leganés lost 3-2 to Real Madrid away from home.

Diomande came on as a substitute in the final stages, and in injury time, Diomande fell while being defended by Raúl Asensio.

Diomande discussed the referee's performance in that match during an interview with La Sexta, saying, "I think he (the referee) performed very poorly this time, because Mbappé's free-kick goal wasn't a foul at all. And that penalty wasn't a penalty at all. But there's nothing we can do when the opponent is Real Madrid, it's always like this. We're not going to complain about the referee, but that's just how it is. I hope we can win our next match against Osasuna."
