Chelsea must score at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night to have any chance of knocking out Barcelona in the last 16 of this season's Champions League and the Brazilian has called for his teammates to produce the perfect performance.
Willian was the one who opened the scoring in the 1-1 first leg, while he also struck the woodwork twice, yet he also spoke on Tuesday about the need for strong defence.
"I think for us to go through we have to have a perfect game with the ball and without the ball," the player said in the pre-match press conference.
"That's the most important thing.
"We know here the pitch is big and we have to not concede and then score ourselves.
"Without the ball we have to be compact, like at Stamford Bridge. "
Asked if he would be drawing inspiration from the 2011/12 semi-finals, when Chelsea won, Willian said he wanted to write his own chapter in the English club's history.
"I was watching that game, but for me every game is different," he said.
"That game already is in the past.
"Tomorrow will be a new story, a new game."
The Wednesday night match will kick off at 20:45 CET.
