Wolves 4-5 Tottenham: Nuno Espirito Santo's men squeeze through on penalties

Tottenham are through to the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after a penalty shootout win over Wolves.

Tanguy Ndombele has not had the best of luck under new boss Nuno Espirito Santo but he netted his first of the season - slotting home from close range to give the Lillywhites the lead.

Harry Kane hasn't enjoyed the best of times either recently - but he got himself on the scoresheet despite his current woes in front of goal, finishing coolly after being played in by Dele Alli.

Spurs looked to be cruising into a comfortable lead at the break before Leander Dendoncker pulled one back with a header - and after the interval Bruno Lage's men found their equaliser through Daniel Podence. The winger fired home after Ndombele was caught in possession, with Dendoncker providing the crucial pass.

More to follow.
