Tammy Abraham's loan move from Chelsea to Wolves is expected to go through next week once it is ratified by Fifa.
Fifa rules prevent players from appearing for three clubs in a season.
The 21-year-old England striker, on loan at Aston Villa, played for Chelsea in the Community Shield and at Under-23 level earlier this season.
It is not thought that will prevent a move to Wolves, though, because neither match would be classed as an official game by the world governing body.
Abraham has scored 16 goals for Villa this season but was left out of Dean Smith's squad for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Championship rivals Swansea.
Smith said recently that Abraham, who has two England caps, would be better served by completing the season at Villa Park.
"Unless they're a team in the top six, there's not many Premier League sides creating loads of chances," he told BBC West Midlands.
Abraham is yet to start a senior match for Chelsea and Wolves, who are ninth in the Premier League, are exploring the possibility of exploiting a break clause in his season-long loan at Villa to sign the striker on a permanent basis.

Can be keen as the like but Tammy choose Villa for a reason he had many offers and even Sarri asking him to stay but he went to Villa. Can't see him leaving Villa at all even for premier league game time right now, he seems to really know what he wants and sticks to that. Oh this is loan im on about, there is NO WAY the club sells Tammy at all (This window)
TBH a move to Wolves is better. Mid table team with attractive football plus he gets game time in the premier league so his experience builds up and he is prepared for when he returns. Only risk factor is how much game time they'd give him and if he would be first choice, second or third. Cos at villa he's first....

Yes, make it happen. Wolves are a great side and play amazing football against the prems biggest teams they've shown adversity. It's amazing for Tammy development as he gets to play big prem teams and both adapt and develop on loan to Wolves. We can't seem Tammy but a loan to Wolves who play attractive football and have some top players is much better than playing in a championship side or some bottom table team like Burnley....

Great game by the Chelsea team and also morale booster for Morata. Farewell Fabregas. I felt emotional when he started crying as he waved the crowd. I wish Odoi doesn't go but going will make him better than Solanke.

Oh, come on Chelsea! Bring this lad back and put him in the first team. Can't the club see that this lad has been scoring regularly (even when he is still playing in the youth level)? Trust in the youth system for once.

Chelsea should try Tammy Abraham whether he will be better than Morata and Giroud

Anyone have any idea what we could get for him on a perm deal? Seems his market value is only 9 mil euros, hope we can get more.

Chelsea had the Championship player of the season on loan in Bamford. They recalled him and never played him either. With CHO already leaving, it wouldn't surprise me if Abraham looked to leave to guarantee regular first team football. Even Loftus-Cheek has struggled to hold down a place in the squad. Lukaku was sold despite a highly successful Premier League loan. Do Chelsea loan players because they believe it will improve the player for bringin back to the squad, ir just increases the asking price?

Gives us a different proposition up front, hopefully can finish some of the chances we create

Makes sense for all parties. Chelsea get Prem experience for him, and Wolves get a really good rotation option with Jimenez.

I'd be heartbroken for Villa if this is the case.

After watching this FA cup game, Chelsea need to recall him. Can't be worse than Morata at this point.

Can’t complain as long as he gets decent game time, but isn’t nuno known for not making any changes to his side?

Sky have been going on about this non stop for a week now. I won't believe it until it happens. Chelsea and Villa have repeatedly said he's staying.

Sucks for Villa but he's clearly a step above the Championship at the moment

Unsure about him in the prem tbh. Yes he’s scored a lot of goals, but he’s missed many more chances than scored. If it’s true and he goes, I hope he does well, but I don’t think he will tbh. It’s also a pointless move to have 6 months as a rotation choice.

Damn. I know the recall option was there if Tammy himself wanted to leave but I was hoping that because he was doing so well, he'd want to stay.

wait how can they just pull him out of his Aston Villa loan and send him to Wolves on loan?

Definitely think he can unseat Raul in time if he continues his form at Villa, he's such a physical beast, though he'll have to work as hard as Raul does for the team to do so.

Think he'd fit in well and will have to show that he's a complete striker not just good at tap-ins to succeed. The only question is will he play, Wolves don't tend to rotate a lot. I think it's worth the risk rather than being comfortable in the Championship where we know he can do it already. Also worth noting that he will leave the championship joint top goalscorer.

not sure how I feel about this. They're definitely not going to start him over Jimenez, who they're buying for 38m. Hopefully he gets good minutes

Noice. If they actually start him, its gonna be good for him.

We should make use of selected on loan players who can make impact in the present st up and stop giving them on loan. A striker like Abraham should be considered rather to go in for a 31years old striker. What a waste.

we have to start them young playing in the first team as JM did to Rashford of Man U. Chelsea coach wants already cooked rusty players to be bought.
