Women's Super League: Shaw nets record-breaking hat-trick as Man City thrash Tottenham

Khadija Shaw made history as she scored the fastest Women's Super League hat-trick as Manchester City moved closer to winning the title with a 5-2 victory over Tottenham.

There were 12 minutes and 37 seconds between Shaw's first and third goals as City scored all five of their goals in the first half to move eight points clear at the WSL summit with four games to go.

Shaw needed just eight minutes to open the scoring, firing in on the volley after Spurs failed to clear their lines from a corner.

She has now scored 15 goals against Spurs in the WSL, the most by a single player against an opposition in the competition (surpassing Vivianne Miedema's 14 versus Bristol City).

Remarkably, Shaw has now scored a hat-trick in each of her last four league games at home against Spurs.
