Zidane: The king of Champions League knock-out ties

When Zinedine Zidane took over at Real Madrid on January 5th, 2016, he claimed that everything would turn out fine and in fact that day began the club's reign in Europe under the Frenchman.

Now they are set to play their third consecutive Champions League final after coming out on top against Bayern Munich.

Eight teams have been beaten in Real's quest to be the top side in Europe beginning with Roma and it is the second time that Bayern have been toppled. Atletico Madrid and Juventus have also suffered twice at the hands of Zidane's players while the other teams were Wolfsburg, Manchester City, Napoli and Paris Saint-Germain.

Zidane has learnt in the job how to manage difficult situations and the squad having begun looking to protect the BBC at all costs in order to reach his first final which came just five months after he took charge.

Then he adapted to rotating his players and keeping them fresh in order to get to the final and beat Juventus last season while in order to get to a third final he has had to change things around again and been prepared to get rid of heavy weights from the dressing room.

Isco, Lucas Vazquez, Asensio and Kovacic have all come in and played their part this year. The team have known how to cope with pressure with their season depending on how well they do in the Champions League.
