Zlatan Ibrahimovic says there is 'NO personal problem' between him and Romelu Lukaku after bust up

Zlatan Ibrahimovic appears to have put his differences with Romelu Lukaku aside following their furious bust-up, with the AC Milan striker insisting he has 'no problem' with his Inter Milan rival.

The former Manchester United team-mates squared up to each other as tensions arose during the Coppa Italia quarter-final in January, which Inter won 2-1 after Ibrahimovic was later sent off.

But the veteran Swedish striker has extended an olive branch to Lukaku now, and even invited him to the upcoming Sanremo music festival.

The charismatic Ibrahimovic is scheduled to perform at the Italian festival, singing a duet of 1970s hit 'Io Vagabondo' with Bologna boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.

On arrival at the five-day event on Tuesday, Ibrahimovic told reporters: 'If Lukaku came to Sanremo I would welcome him.

'There is no personal problem. What you do on the pitch stays on the pitch. If you want to come, you are welcome.'

Ibrahimovic sustained a thigh injury in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Roma in Serie A before limping off after 56 minutes, and will miss his return to United next week for the Europa League last-16 first leg tie at Old Trafford.

The injury has solved a rather awkward problem for Ibrahimovic and Milan after it emerged that he had signed up to appear at the Sanremo festival on the Italian Riviera, which gets underway on Tuesday and runs until Saturday.

It is understood the striker and his agent Mino Raiola negotiated the agreement into the contract extension he signed with Milan in August.

Ibrahimovic grabbed the headlines at the end of January after his fiery coming together with Lukaku in the first half of the Coppa Italia clash at the San Siro.

Lukaku appeared to call the Swedish veteran a 'son of a b****' as well as shouting 'f*** your wife' while Ibrahimovic reportedly said 'Go do your voodoo s***, you little donkey' during the exchange.

There is no love lost between the pair, with the 39-year-old revealing that Lukaku did not take him up on a bet when they played together for the Red Devils.

'I will say this on Romelu: don't expect good technique from Lukaku', Zlatan told Gazzetta dello Sport. 'His best strength is sheer power. If only he'd listened to me...

'At Manchester United, we made a bet: "I'll give you £50 for every decent first touch you make."

'He replied: "What do I win if I get them all right?"

'I told him nothing, he would simply become a better player. For the record, he never accepted the bet! Perhaps he was afraid of losing.

'Joking aside, Lukaku has this mad hunger to prove himself to the world and I'm sure he will do well at Inter too.'

Ibrahimovic and Lukaku later received one-match bans for their heated bust-up, with the Belgian missing the first leg of their semi final clash with Juventus.

But Lukaku appeared to get the last laugh over Ibrahimovic as the Belgian marksman helped guide Inter to a huge 3-0 Derby win over AC on February 21.

After scoring Inter's third of the game, he appeared to rub salt in the wounds by taunting his rival.

Lukaku surged towards the corner flag in jubilation after bagging his brilliant goal, pointing to his chest and was heard shouting in exclamation.

Fans have been divided as to what Lukaku said, with football journalist Emanuel Rosu hearing 'Dio, diooo', which roughly translates to 'God'.

However, others have commented that the Belgian said 'Io' meaning 'I'.

The celebration led to suggestions that it could have been aimed at Ibrahimovic following the pair's coming together.
