United’s troubles in attack have continued this season as new signings such as Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko fail to make an impact.

Hypothetically speaking, I think Hojlund will be perfect for our current system because he has the physicality to match the EPL. He makes great run in the box. Also don’t forget that he the current system and attacking midfielders are setup to help the target man better than the previous 4-3-3 we deployed under ETH. People who consistently criticize the system are oblivious. United are creating the most chances than anyone in the EPL. Only City and Arsenal scored more goals than United (33 for Arsenal vs 32). We all know the team needs reinforcements in midfield and defense and then we can fully judge the Coach. Unlike those fans, I am highly optimistic that things will change for the better.

Deep down, this only further proves that the EPL is a different beast at by itself. McTominay couldn’t secure a starting spot at a struggling Man United but is good enough to become the player of the year in Serie A. Hojlund couldn’t buy a goal at United (granted that if he had the current attacking depth we have, I believe that he would be scoring because we are creating far too many chances).
