An almighty scramble for tickets has seen the first batch of seats for Tottenham's first game at their new stadium sold out within minutes.
The first wave of tickets for the clash against Crystal Palace, which will take place on on April 3, went on sale at 10am on Monday and swathes of fans flocked to the website to secure their place for the curtain raiser.
Around 9,000 tickets were sold within the first hour with supporters eager to have a seat for the historical first match at the stunning 62,000-capacity arena.
Tickets for the opening game against Palace have already been advertised for as much as £1,200 for a pair on social media.
Re-sale websites are also looking to cash in, with StubHub selling a pair of tickets for £1,100 for the Premier League fixture.
Spurs are aware of some people trying to sell-on their tickets for the first game at a huge profit and have warned of severe action.
Eleven years after the project was first announced, Spurs are almost ready to host their first Premier League game at the stadium after getting through their first planned test event without a hitch.
Tottenham legends will play a game against Inter Milan on March 30 in a second and final test event.

Yea has everyone heard of that team that got a new stadium and all of a sudden they were playing like Brazil and thrust into the higher echelons of Europe's elite?... Yea me neither.
Dont wanna say anything but, most players that play for England, are from Spurs.

its strange that with all the matches getting cancelled during winter due to snow storms, we don't even have one stadium in England with a retractable roof
It's so expensive

This happens every time, only a limited number of tickets go on sale to hotspur+ members, and for the big games like champions league they always sell out,the majority of tickets will go on sale tomorrow, when hopefully most will get a ticket.

Shame there was no money to invest in stopping tickets being resold easily on third party websites. That said ... magnificent stadium ... and hard to believe it is ours.

It looks amazing. I'm an Everton fan and just hope our new stadium is as fantastic as that. It probably won't be because we are not earmarked to be spending £1b but if it looks half as good as Spurs' I'll be happy.

All this is only worth it if the club starts winning trophies and can retain key players. Probably doing the same mistake as Arsenal and look what it did to them..

As an Arsenal fan, it does look impressive, but at £1bn, so it should.... but in the end it will never be an iconic stadium as a side that has never lived up to the hype plays there. It's not like you will get a buzz saying I went to WHL the home of...Spurs, a side who hasn't won anything of note in the last 20 years, and last won the league nearly 60 years ago
