‘Los Blancos’ conquer Dubai with Real Madrid World theme park

“Real Madrid is universal,” is one of Florentino Pérez’s famous quotes. A clear example of this vision is the Real Madrid theme park in Dubai, the first and only one in the world dedicated to a football club. It features 40 attractions and immersive experiences, including the Walk of Fame—a space with life-size figures of Real Madrid legends—and displays of the club’s football and basketball trophies.

Real Madrid World – opened in November 2024 – is located in Dubai Parks and Resorts, about 30 minutes from Downtown, where the Burj Khalifa – the world’s tallest building at 828 meters – is located. Upon arriving at the theme park, you’ll find the Avenue of Champions, with restaurants and one of the park’s most exciting experiences: Meet the Stars.

Taking your first stroll, you can see all the Ballon d’Or awards won by Real Madrid players, and in the center, the Super Ballon d’Or that Alfredo Di Stéfano received in 1989. Next to it, the first wax figure in the space is dedicated to Di Stéfano himself, recreating his iconic goal celebration in the 1958 European Cup semi-final against Hungarian side Vasas. Further inside are Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Junior, representing the first team. Kylian Mbappé is the big new addition, with a figure at the back of the room. Other stars from the past who share the space are Ronaldo Nazario, David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Luka Modric.

Upon leaving Meet the Stars, there are three must-see spots for a photo: a giant replica of the club’s crest with the park’s name, the FIFA trophy awarded to Real Madrid as the best club of the 20th century, and a fairly large replica of the Champions League trophy. In the background lies one of the most spectacular areas of the theme park: Plaza de Cibeles, the heart of the action for Real Madrid fans from around the world. This is a replica of the Cibeles Fountain in Madrid.

Another highlight is the Bernabéu Experience, an impressive exhibition showcasing Real Madrid’s 15 European Cups in football and 11 in basketball, among other trophies. There’s also a replica of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in one of the club’s official stores. Among the most striking attractions are the Hala Madrid roller coaster (the region’s first wooden roller coaster), La Fábrica Training Camp (a training ground for practicing shots and training like the stars), and La Ola (a family roller coaster that simulates the thrill of a packed stadium). There’s also the Factory of Dreams (a virtual simulator full of surprises where the magic of the club comes to life).

The park offers a wide range of dining options, including an official Real Madrid restaurant decorated with signed jerseys, images from legendary finals, and elements that recreate the interior of the Bernabéu stadium. There are even stalls selling churros with chocolate; nothing is more quintessentially Madrid than some good churros to complete the experience.
