AS reported that Barcelona is not fixated on signing a center forward this summer. While awaiting progress on the Álvareztransfer, the teamis confident that its existing attacking lineup is sufficient for the new season.
The strongest basis for this is the extreme versatility shown by the two forward signings completed this summer. Antony-Gordon and Adeyemi can both play in any of the three forward positions, with the Englishman particularly suited to the left wing and central roles. Both have spent most of their careers playing on the wings but have also adapted to playing centrally when needed by their former clubs.
Their versatility means Flick does not need to rely on a traditional "number 9," especially since quality center forwards are scarce on the market and their prices are rising. Furthermore, Barça has great confidence in the ability and development of young Egyptian talent Hamza Abdulkarim, who has already scored two goals in preseason.

look at barca number9 that lived their pick. it's not about any nō9 but who can connect with the team what makes the market very small coz they're rare to find. currently aged kane and alvares are clear examples. vlahovic, osimhen, halland, gyokeres are good but can't link well with the team. so i'd prefer ferran to remain and gordon to be there when needed while we're waiting for our next henry,villa,suarez and levy to arrive.

I m not surprised. It’s always their way of doing things. Generate so much hype and noise thereby indirectly helping other teams to consolidate their position and then crash the hopes and expectations of their own fans. This is just what they do. The Board knows all along they will not sign a striker then why make so much noise? Note it: if no striker is signed just forget about La liga, CL and Copa this season.
