Real Madrid bet hard on Brahim Diaz. They believe he's a player with a big future. The 19-year-old has been handed a deal with a 750 million euro buy-out clause on a six and a half year deal - until 2025. He gets 3.5 million euros a year in salary.
Even though his contract was set to end in the summer with Manchester City, Madrid paid 17m for him plus 7m more in variables. A number between the 20m City wanted and the 10m Madrid hoped to pay.
The Telegraph say City have 15% of a future transfer sale, which becomes 41 per cent if they sell him to Manchester United, City's rivals.
The Malaga-born player has a higher release clause than Isco and Asensio - both of whom have buy-outs of 700m.

Bruh just wait till he gets started. He's one of the best young prospects out there. So wait and watch. And with what audacity you speak of Brahim? You guys bought dembele for 135m, what has he done to receive that much of money?!?!?

What’s the point of putting such a high release clause? Why don’t they just not put a release clause in?

What’s the point of putting such a high release clause? Why don’t they just not put a release clause in?
to wind away all the interest generated in him by other clubs usually clubs go by market value which isn't constant but la liga clubs prefer the release clause system where the price is fixed even if the player has just 6 months in his contract
