Xabi Alonso insisted that he is enjoying life as Real Madrid coach despite facing criticism in recent weeks.
Los Blancos are winless in their last three games in all competitions, including a 2-2 draw against Elche on the weekend.
But despite their loss against Liverpool last time out in the Champions League, Madrid are currently seventh in the league phase.
Next up for the record winners of the competition is a trip to Olympiacos, which could be more difficult than anticipated.
Madrid are looking for their first away win against Olympiacos, in what will be their fifth attempt. The only team they have faced more than four times away from home in their European Cup/Champions League history without winning is AC Milan (seven – D2 L5).
Despite the reported pressure that is growing on Alonso, the Spaniard is enjoying each moment as it comes.
"Working at Real Madrid is turning out to be what I expected, a very demanding job," said Alonso.
"With moments when you need concentration, others when you need to react quickly. But I'm enjoying everything, the whole package that it entails.
"We're not happy with the last few matches. We have the necessary self-criticism. But we also see where we stand in LaLiga and the Champions League. Putting all that together, I am enjoying it, yes."
There has also been a reported rift between Alonso and Vinicius Junior, with the winger apparently not interested in extending his contract in the Spanish capital due to his relationship with the Spaniard.
His current deal expires at the end of June 2027, though he is gaining interest from other clubs around Europe.
Alonso added: "I have a lot of respect for the players. I know what locker rooms are like, what you have to go through, and how you have to deal with the external noise.
"These are situations that can't make us lose focus."

Alonso is the right coach for the team. Everyone has to give in more than what they used to, because the game is becoming more competitive nowadays

That guy seems to me like the team is too big for him to manage...his game and tactics are too predictable...so so obvious...no element of surprise...and always sterile possession...they cannot build up and finish it..sluggish play...seems players don't know what to do...the team lacke steam...he needs to wake up of stay away..
It's high time we look at the kind of players we have. They have big names but lack technical abilities and coordination. They don't know positioning
