Amiens 4-4 PSG: PSG's epic comeback win denied by late equaliser

PSG thought they had overcome a three-goal deficit, along with the absences of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, only for Amiens to snatch a draw.

Paris Saint-Germain fought back from three goals down but were denied by a last-gasp equaliser as they drew 4-4 at Amiens in a remarkable Ligue 1 contest.

Serhou Guirassy, Gael Kakuta and Fousseni Diabate all struck inside 40 minutes as struggling Amiens made an extraordinary start.

But PSG, who were playing without Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Pablo Sarabia, recovered to move to the brink of a memorable victory.

They equalled a Ligue 1 record by scoring in 32 straight away games when Ander Herrera got his first PSG goal just before the break, after which Nianzou Kouassi twice headed in to draw the visitors level.

Mauro Icardi thought he had completed the comeback when he tapped in, but Guirassy had the last word as Amiens salvaged a draw in the first minute of added time.

Cavani is chasing his 200th PSG goal and almost gets it! A delicate pass in behind bounces in front of the striker, who opts for precision over power. A delicate lob is batted away by Gurtner, though.

25' Navas makes brilliant save

PSG's defensive line is awful, unorthodox right-back Herrera playing the striker onside. He has time to pick his spot on the right-hand side of the area but shoots straight at Navas. Amiens get a corner but PSG clear.

Kakuta picks up the ball on the left corner of the area and drives a magnificent effort past Navas into the top-right corner. Amiens are two up!

40' GOAL! Amiens 3-0 PSG (Diabate)

Herrera is all over the place at right-back, and Diabate is set clear on that wing. Guirassy, attempting to get up in support, is dragged down off the ball, but it matters not. Diabate advances and shoots low past Navas, clipping the right-hand post on the way in.

45' GOAL! Amiens 3-1 PSG (Herrera)

The midfielder has been awful playing at right-back, but a corner from the left lands on his toe for a volley. Gurtner gets a hand to the effort but it nestles in the roof of the net.

60' GOAL! Amiens 3-2 PSG (Kouassi)

Kouassi gets his first Ligue 1 goal with an excellent header from Draxler's left-wing corner, won by Bakker's hard running. Amiens are really up against it now.

65' GOAL! Amiens 3-3 PSG (Kouassi)

The defender's second Ligue 1 goal arrives just five minutes after his first. Kouassi towers over Gurtner, who has played well but gets nowhere near Di Maria's corner. PSG are back level, from three goals down, and can now think about winning this one!

Bernat gets in behind on the left and plays a teasing ball across the face of goal. Icardi is there, where he so often is, in the six-yard box to tap in. PSG were three down late in the first half but now lead.

Amiens led by three but looked to be down and out when PSG battled back to lead. No, it is all square again! Cornette breaks at speed on the right, and Guirassy is in the middle, just onside, to shoot low past Navas!
