Antoine Griezmann commits future to Atletico Madrid

Speaking to Téléfoot, Antoine Griezmann (32) has committed his future to Atletico Madrid, despite Paris Saint-Germain’s rumoured interest.

Griezmann has been linked with a departure from Atletico Madrid, even more so since L’Équipe’s report that the France international has a surprisingly low €25m release clause. The French publication added that Saudi Arabia had contacted Griezmann, although a move to the Gulf state looks unlikely, whilst the player has previously expressed a desire to conclude his career in the MLS. PSG are yet to show any concrete interest, according to L’Équipe.

However, the Frenchman seemingly has no designs on leaving Atletico Madrid in the near future. During an interview with Téléfoot, he committed to remaining at the Spanish club and winning the La Liga title next season, a trophy that has so far eluded him.

“I am very happy at Atletico. My main objective is to win La Liga with them because I’ve never won it, and I’ve been here 12 years, and why not do big things in the Champions League as well? I feel good here, and so do my family. There won’t be a change,” he said.

Griezmann is currently on international duty with Les Bleus and following Friday night’s victory against Gibraltar, he will face Greece on Monday.
