Arsenal earned a narrow 1-0 win over struggling Watford, one which lifts them into fifth place in the Premier League. The victory means Mikel Arteta's side go into the international break on the back of four straight wins and on a high.
The game itself could have been more straightforward for the Gunners, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang missed a first half penalty.
In the second half, the vital goal came shortly before the hour mark, with Emil Smith-Rowe finishing well after good work by Ben White.
The narrow margin of the home side's lead could have made for a nervy finish, but a red card for Watford's Juraj Kucka took some of the sting out of the game after Joshua King had earlier come close from a tight angle as the visitor's searched for an equaliser.
It's a tough one for Arsenal next
Arsenal's form means we might have to start taking Arteta's team seriously, but the big test of where this side are at will come on their first game after the break, the small matter of a trip to Anfield. A win could put the Gunners right in amongst the title contenders.
