Manchester United and Arsenal fans have pleaded with Joao Felix to join their respective teams after they bombarded the Atletico Madrid star with messages in his latest social media post.
Felix has been hotly tipped to leave Atletico in the upcoming January transfer window. Reports have suggested that the Portugal international is unhappy with his lack of game time under Diego Simeone as the forward appears to be eyeing up the Premier League as a possible destination in his pursuit of first-team football.
Erik ten Hag will be looking for ways to strengthen his United side in the winter window, with the priority being to bring in a centre forward. Although Felix himself does not play as a traditional striker, the 23-year-old has shown his eye for goal by scoring four times in his last three La Liga appearances.
It is thought that Felix would be available on loan in January, something that would be well suited to United's approach in the upcoming window as the club look at short-term recruitment options until the end of the season.
The club were put on red alert last month after Atletico CEO Gil Marin suggested that Felix is looking to leave the Spanish capital.
He said: "For reasons it isn't worth getting into – the relationship between him and the boss [Simeone], the minutes played, his motivation right now – it makes you think that the reasonable thing is that if there's an option that's good for the player, good for the club, we can look at it.
"I'd love him to stay, personally, but I don't think that's the player's idea."
Arsenal are believed to be interested in making a move for Felix alongside United and now fans of the clubs have decided to take matters into their own hands.
The Atletico star was bombarded by both sets of supporters with pleas for him to join their respective clubs. Numerous comments were left by fans begging the forward to "come to United" and "come to Arsenal" - with some even jokingly welcoming Felix to Old Trafford already.
Although a deal is yet to be completed by either side, it is clear to see that the fans are desperate for Felix to make the move to the Premier League and join their team in the January window.
