Arsenal's time is running out to make improvements to their squad before the end of the January transfer window in the hopes of not letting another Premier League title evade their grasp
Yet another Champions League win has put Arsenal in a princely position as the transfer window rounds to a close. The Gunners are fighting on four fronts as they hope to finally end their Premier League title drought, giving all the more reason to recruit.
Mikel Arteta's men devastated Inter Milan 3-1 at the San Siro on Tuesday evening to move six points clear at the table summit with only one game to go. The north Londoners are now guaranteed a spot in the competition's last 16, having won all seven of their matches thus far.
They also sit seven points ahead of Manchester City at the Premier League peak. However, the club has become accustomed to late slumps wrecking their claims on the crown in seasons past.
That track record suggests it would be wise for Arsenal to invest now before regretting any missed opportunities down the line. And Mirror Football has dissected the latest rumblings around the Emirates as Arteta looks to build on a superb first half of the campaign.

Arteta regret over Nwaneri
So much has been going right at the club this season that it's difficult to nail down many regrets. However, Arteta has at least one regret after admitting he would have liked to hand Ethan Nwaneri more minutes as the winger prepares to join Marseille on loan.
All signs suggest the 18-year-old will spend the rest of the season in southern France after Arsenal reportedly green-lit the deal. Nwaneri enjoyed a breakthrough season last term but has started just four times from 12 appearances in all competitions this campaign.
His most recent league cameo came all the way back in November, and a temporary move could be just what the player needs. And while the deal might make sense for all parties, Arteta has outlined a certain sense of remorse he hasn't been able to utilise the academy product more.
"I don't know," said Arteta when asked for the latest regarding Nwaneri's proposed loan. "We'll have a discussion this week. Obviously he's not having the minutes that probably he deserves as well and he needs at his age.
"We will address the situation and see what is best. Let's see. We have to sit down and discuss how we want to move that forward."
Bidon asking price revealed
One potential new arrival at the Emirates mooted for some time now is Breno Bidon. But while speculation of Arsenal's interest in the player is nothing new, word of his supposed price-tag has now come to light.
And it's not as bad as previously thought after ESPN Brasil reported the player could move this month is an outside party stumps up £21million. Bidon, who has been dubbed 'the Brazilian Pedri' in some circles, has been a prominent player at Corinthians for the past couple of years and already boasts 103 senior appearances despite still being just 20 years of age.
The versatile midfielder is capable of playing in a multitude of roles, a common trait in players Arteta has signed of late. He would also have a crop of fellow Brazilians for company in London in the trio of Gabriels: Magalhaes, Jesus and Martinelli.
Other European heavyweights are understood to be keeping tabs on the youngster, who is being lined up for his first senior Brazil cap. Corinthians appear to have their preferred replacement lined up, too, with Wolfsburg's Vinicius Souza reportedly at the top of their wishlist should Bidon depart.
Speaking about the prospect of Bidon leaving in January, Corinthians boss Dorival Junior recently said: "He’s a very important player. And if I’m being honest with you, I wouldn’t like to lose any player. We need to find balance so we can have a strong squad throughout the year. That is our biggest challenge."

Odegaard is a liability
I agree that his game has definitely diminished, he isn’t getting goals or assists plus he’s not creating opportunities for our forwards. He looks elegant, but runs and only plays balls across the line or backwards.
