Arsenal produced a spectacular second-half comeback to win against Bournemouth in the Premier League.
On Saturday, Manchester City’s win against Newcastle United meant Arsenal had to win against the Cherries to regain their five-point lead at the top.
However, Bournemouth shocked Mikel Arteta’s men inside 10 seconds after a brilliant kick-off routine resulted in Philip Billing putting the visitors 1-0 up.
Arsenal were the dominant side but found themselves up against a stubborn Bournemouth defence.
In the second half, it went from bad to worse for Arteta as Marcos Senesi scored a header from a corner to make it 2-0 in the 57th minute.
Thomas Partey sparked his side back to life after stabbing in after Bournemouth failed to clear their lines.
Arteta’s men rallied to push for the equaliser with the crowd firmly behind them, their pressure eventually told as Ben White scored in the 70th minute to make it 2-2.
With seconds left on the clock, the Emirates Stadium was sent into pandemonium after second-half substitute Reiss Nelson scored a stunning winner to make it 3-2. Arsenal have nicked it right at the death to take home all three points, it is utter heartbreak for Bournemouth but what resilience showed by Arteta's men.
It's 11 years since Arsenal have come from 2-0 down to win a Premier League game
Next up for the Gunners will be a Europa League last-16 first leg against Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon, before turning their attentions back to the Premier League with a London derby against Fulham next weekend.
