Nine goals have been scored by Atletico Madrid across their six official matches of the 2018/19 season and seven of them have featured at least one of Koke, Antoine Griezmann or Diego Costa.
Their importance was on display in Monaco on Tuesday, as Koke fed the ball to Griezmann, who in turn first-time passed into the path of Costa for the equalising goal.
So far this campaign, Koke has scored one (vs Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup) and assisted one (taking the corner from which Jose Maria Gimenez scored the winner against Monaco).
Costa hasn't set up any yet, but he has scored three times (two against Real Madrid and one against Monaco).
Griezmann, meanwhile, has scored one of his own (the winner against Rayo Vallecano) and has set up two goals (for Angel Correa vs Valencia and for Costa vs Monaco).
If the mishit shot into the path of Borja Garces against Eibar is considered an assist as well, then the No.7 has three and every goal bar Saul Niguez's UEFA Super Cup volley has had participation from one of these three players.
With the through balls and set piece delivery of Koke, the creativity of Griezmann and the finishing of Costa, Diego Simeone can be confident that goals will come when these players are on the pitch together.

Lemar is the real deal. He'll be huge this season, I'm counting on it. Angelito as always making a huge impact. Costa. BEAST Koke, Rodri, and Saul, masterful. What a signing Rodri was. The only thing I didn't like was Juanfran, who I like as backup.

I'm kinda worried since we're not that good during preseason matches but damn what a game this one is. Apart from Griezmann who still looks tired, all the other has been incredible. Lemar looks very promising too

I did a bit... ffs we forgive Reyes, we atleticos booed Raul Garcia (I was mad at him when he was in the middle) and now is deep in our hearts. It is in our nature to forgive who deserves forgiveness, we are not bandwagoners. This crowd can boo you but if you change that and get the applause, you'll be forever on our chants, so is Forlan, Falcao, Futre and so many. Griezmann seems to grew up, to step up, to be with his head on the team, and if he came back this way... I will support him 200%... maybe this is the year? could be? it's the God's plan? I cannot go wild for Griezmann, I'm happy for him and also for us, he plays for us, he is this kind of player because Simeone and he is lucky, I mean, a transfer ban made him stay, and when Costa came in he learned to play better, to be better... Griezmann is lucky because he stayed for random reasons and now is world champion, and our crest (our horrible logo) is out there like when Torres showed it up. But this time is for real, one guy of our academy and allegedly our best player are with the world cup, that's great for us. I hope they can keep their heads in the ground... today I saw a video of Lucas jumping to a tree and hugging it. I don't know if he is crazy or he's dumb or both.

Bring the one we want! It seems this motherfucker wants me to love him... I love him more today than yesterday but I'll love him when he gives us the Champions League. Step by step. I'm happy for him and Lucas.

The best thing I can say is that this team needs to do everything to be in the Metropolitano for May 2019. The feeling of 'this is the moment' has increased.

No. But as we've seen with the whole blackface thing a few months back, he clearly doesn't have the best PR team around and/or is a huge attention seeker.

Of course not.. be he’s Antoine. We have room for one off pitch diva.. it would be a different story if he didn’t work so damn hard on the pitch.

Don't get me wrong, I'm over the moon, and still love the guy, but was this really necessary?

This may be one of our strongest squads in history. Costa and Griezmann up front, hopefully selling Gameiro and bringing in Lemar and Rodri at the very least? One of the best possible transfer windows we could have hoped for and it hasn't even opened yet

Honestly I would have been so offended if he left, I know he wouldn't have made such a ridiculous announcement if he was going to leave, we would hate him forever. The whole time I had the feeling he was taking a piss out of Barcelona and showing our fan base that he is committed. Stoked for next season
