Atletico Madrid make official bid for Romero; Tottenham expected to approve sale

According to journalist Marcos Duran, who broke the news on social media today, Atletico Madrid has submitted their first official offer to Tottenham Hotspur for Cristian Romero.

Duran reported that Atletico Madrid made this official offer following multiple negotiations over the transfer fee, after Tottenham had rejected several previous verbal proposals.

He also stated that Romero is expected to be cleared within the next few hours, with Tottenham allowing the Argentine defender to travel to Madrid for his medical examination and contract signing.
