Diego Simeone faces yet more selection headaches, as Atletico Madrid suffered their 40th injury of the season so far.
Filipe Luis went down in the win against Real Sociedad with muscular discomfort in his leg, and his ailment will in all likelihood keep him out of the return leg against Juventus.
The injury tally at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano this season is bordering on the ridiculous, with there actually more injuries recorded this season than there have been matches played to this point.
Twenty seven of those 40 ailments have been muscle problems, whilst 12 have been impact injuries, varying in degrees of severity.
Only Jan Oblak, Antonio Adan, Thomas Partey, Antoine Griezmann, Rodri and Alvaro Morata have avoided the curse seemingly following the club around this term.
On the flip side, Diego Costa, Stefan Savic, Jose Gimenez, Vitolo and Lucas Hernandez have been the most affected, with the six accumulating a grand total of 127 days absent from both training sessions and matches, 97 of those days being attributed to the former Manchester City defender.

Inb4 Ronaldo hattrick consisting of an offside goal, a lucky deflection and and a PK off a handball - all three "thanks to VAR"
