Atletico Madrid willing to part ways with four strikers during summer transfer

The expectation is that Atletico Madrid will undergo a significant squad rebuild during the summer, on the back of a disappointing 2023-24 campaign. Diego Simeone is demanding changes to his side, especially in defence, although money will need to be raised in order for their targets to be acquired.

Marca have reported that an area where Atleti could look to raise funds is by selling multiple strikers. Antoine Griezmann has had another strong season, but his counterparts have failed to deliver for the most part. With this in mind, Los Rojiblancos will listen to offers for Alvaro Morata, Angel Correa and Memphis Depay, as well as Joao Felix, who has no chance to return to Simeone’s squad.

Morata has attracted interest from Juventus, whereas Correa has been linked with Saudi Arabia in the past, so there could be a strong chance that Atleti move those two on at the very least. There will also be a keenness to sell Depay, whose injury record over the last 18 months has been abysmal.

Samu Omorodion is expected to stay with Simeone’s squad for next season, so there is already a replacement there. It remains to be seen how many strikers Atletico Madrid end up parting ways with during the summer.
