Rodrigo Mendoza and Obed Vargas joined Atletico Madrid on deadline day, as the Spanish giants had a late flurry of business.
Diego Simeone said over the weekend that he was hoping to see fresh faces arrive to bolster his squad, and those hopes were turned into a reality on Monday.
Following on from a €35m deal for Ademola Lookman, Atletico confirmed the additions of 20-year-old duo Mendoza and Vargas.
Mendoza has joined from Elche, penning a deal with Atletico until the end of June 2031.
The midfielder made his debut for Elche in November 2022, going on to make 71 appearances for the club, netting six goals.
Vargas, meanwhile, has joined from the Seattle Sounders.
The Mexico international already has 158 senior club games under his belt, and has registered 19 goal involvements (eight goals, 11 assists).
Vargas has penned a four-and-a-half-year deal with Atletico, who sit third in LaLiga.
