Atletico match their record for league draws in a season after Athletic clash

By drawing 1-1 away at Athletic Club on Sunday afternoon, Atletico Madrid have matched their record for league draws in a season.

Their was their 13th draw of the campaign, matching the record from 1974/75, 1978/79, 1990/91 and 2005/06.

With 10 more matches remaining this season, they are likely to set a new club record.

They could even reach the record for all of LaLiga, which is 18 draws in one campaign and which was set by Deportivo La Coruna in 2015/16.
