The man of the moment on Saturday night was Gareth Bale, for some good and for some bad reasons.
Following his controversial celebration on international duty, he was booed and whistled when his name was read out before kick off and when he came on as a second half substitute in Real Madrid's 3-1 win over Real Sociedad.
That was clearly a negative start to the night for the Welshman, but it got better as he turned in a good performance against the Basque side.
It was his cross that Karim Benzema brought down to assist Luka Modric for the team's third goal and Casemiro made a point of going to celebrate with the under-fire forward.
Other teammates then joined in in celebrating with Bale.
The forward was involved in two more dangerous attacks towards the end, sending a ball across goal that nobody met and then forcing Alex Remiro into a save that prevented Bale's name from ending up on the scoresheet.

He really deserves a goal on his name tonight, but very soon he will bounce back.
