One of the biggest concerns at Barcelona right now is the youth side. Garcia Pimienta began preseason training on the 15th July but there are still plenty of question marks about the squad. At the moment, the coach is going to have 35 players to choose from.
He was lucky that nine of those went on the Japan Tour with the first team and other four were involved in the U19 Euros. This has meant Garcia Pimienta has been working with 22 players so far.
In the next few days there are expected to be even more new faces through the door. One is Palacios, the Ecuadorian left-back, and the other is Tailson, the Brazilian from Santos. Both are expected to join up for preseason soon. Van Beijnen and Ludovit Reis are already confirmed as new arrivals.
In addition to the players left from last season you have to add Arnau Comas, ‘Peque’, Sergi Serrano and Lucas de Vega from the youth ranks. Josep Calavera, Ballou Tabla, Sergi Puig and Santiago Bueno will all return from loan spells away from the club. Another two exciting prospects, Ansu Fati and Ilaix Moriba, have impressed and could be kept with the B side.
Next week Bakero, who is responsible for the B side, will meet with Planes, Abidal and Kluivert to discuss who they want to form part of the squad:
Goalkeepers: Iñaki Peña, Carevic, Sergi Puig
Defenders: Guillem, Chumi, Mingueza, Cuenca, Arnau Comas, Vilarrasa, Van Beijnen, Miranda, Morer, Araujo, Santi Bueno,
Midfielders: Monchu, Sarsanedas, Lucas de Vega, McGuane, Peque, Serrano, Riqui Puig, Oriol Busquets, Collado, Abe, Ludovit Reis, Calavera, Ilaix, Jandro Orellana
Forwards: Abel, Marqués, Gabriel Novaes, Ballou, Carles Pérez, Ansu and Kike Saverio.

Puig and Busquets though are the best of the bunch ,they still have time... thoughI feel Barca's focus should be chumi, Miranda, Callado, Perez .... but I really want Puig omg he's so good
