Barca B captain Sarsanedas will remain at the club until 2021

Ferran Sarsanedas knows he will remain at FC Barcelona until at least 2021. The young midfielder, who is the captain of the B side, signed a five year deal when he joined the club. There was a clause which allowed Barça to cancel the remaining two years on his deal but they have informed the youngster he will be part of their plans for next season. This isn't an extension either, rather them just respecting the original terms agreed by both parties.

Sarsanedas might remain with the B team next season or be sent out on loan. The midfielder has shone throughout his rise from the academy and was expected to play a key role in Barça B last season. However it's been one to forget due to injury. Well loved by his teammates and respected by the coaching staff, he said goodbye to the season after rupturing his cruciate knee ligament in November against Espanyol B.

He now has until 2021 to prove his worth at Barça.
