Barca B hold traditional Christmas dinner, but Fati misses for personal reasons

Following today's training session the Barça B squad and staff held their traditional Christmas lunch. It was held in the famous 'Gavà' restaurant, next to the beach, as they celebrated the festival period.

The Director of Barça B, Silvio Elias, was accompanied by the director of football Eric Abidal at the meal. Both spoke openly to the players and wished them a happy break with their respective families.

Garcia Pimienta's side enter this period in fine form. They're fifth in the league and are well placed to at least be involved in the play-offs. They finished the first half of the season unbeaten at the Estadi Johan Cruyff and they round off 2019 with a tricky visit to face Olot.

Ansu Fati and Carles Perez, now recognisable names in the senior squad, were both invited to the meal. Ansu missed the event for personal reasons but Perez was there. Riqui Puig and Abel Ruiz, two of Barça B's stars with uncertain futures, both spent plenty of time talking with Abidal.
