Barca star Ivan Rakitic relaxes on boat with wife Raquel Mauri

Ivan Rakitic and his wife Raquel Mauri continued their luxurious holiday as they both shared photos of themselves posing on board a boat.

Rakitic is currently on holiday after being given an extended break by Barcelona following his exploits at the World Cup with Croatia.

The couple, who married in 2013 and have two young children, have already shared a number of pictures of them spending quality time together.

They met when Rakitic joined Sevilla in 2011 as a 21-year-old, with Mauri working in a hotel bar at the time in Seville.

Rakitic is being afforded an extended break before he joins up with his Barcelona team-mates on their pre-season training camp at the end of the month.

And the 30-year-old deserves his break. No player in Europe played more matches than the 71 that Rakitic completed during last campaign.

Rakitic was a key player in Barcelona's midfield as they secured a Copa del Rey and La Liga double before heading to the World Cup with Croatia.

In Russia, Rakitic was the perfect foil for star man Luka Modric as Croatia reached the first World Cup final in their history before falling at the final hurdle to France.

At club level next season, Rakitic can expect a more significant role after the departure of club legend Andres Iniesta to Japanese side Vissel Kobe.
