Hansi Flick’s Barcelona resume training after the international break with renewed confidence after beating Celta Vigo in their final league test ahead of the FIFA window. The win in Galicia reduces the gap with league leaders Real Madrid to just three points.
However, as the complete first team squad return to training, the fixture list for the team between now and Christmas offers no respite with the team set to play nine games in three competitions with games in LaLiga, Champions League and the Copa del Rey coming thick and fast.
The first of the nine games in a 29 day spell sees the team return to Camp Nou after a more than two year absence from their home ground. Only 45,000 fans will be allowed to attend the matchday 13 game on Saturday against Athletic Bilbao.
After hosting Athletic Club, the Barcelona first team pack their bags and head to London to face Chelsea in the fifth matchday of the 2025-26 Champions League group stage. Both teams have seven points and sit in eleventh and twelfth, respectively, in the standings. Barcelona then return to league action as they welcome Alavés to the Catalan capital, a game, which at least on paper should be the least taxing of the nine pre Christmas games at home, with 2016 being the last time the Basque side recorded a win in Barcelona over the ‘azulgrana’ side.
There will be no room for complacency during the month of December as Hansi Flick’s side face the third, fourth, and fifth-placed teams in La Liga, starting with Atlético de Madrid (4th) on December 2nd, Betis (5th) on December 6th, and Villarreal (3rd) on December 20th or 21st. In between, there’s another Champions League match at home against Eintracht Frankfurt on December 9th and another at home against Osasuna the weekend of December 14th.
The club also embark on the defence of their Spanish Cup title as they enter the 2025-26 Copa del Rey third round mid month with the teams and draw for the third round set to be defined in the first few days of the month upon the conclusion of the second round.
The good news for Barcelona is that Flick is expected to have recovered most of his injured players (Joan García, Raphinha, etc.) as the likes of Koundé and Balde continue their respective recovery plans.

Flick lost his mind by Raphinha getting injured. So you’re telling me this Man will bring any title to the club. He’s a lost cause so is Barcelona.
