'Barcelona are NOT at the level to win UCL,' claims Dynamo Kiev boss

Barcelona have been told they are not at the level to win the Champions League by Dynamo Kiev boss Mircea Lucescu as they get set to welcome him to the Nou Camp.

The Ukrainian side travel to Barcelona in their Group G Champions League match on Wednesday night and boss Lucescu clearly does not fear Ronald Koeman's men.

Barcelona have equalled their worst start to a La Liga season with just eight points from six games but have fared better in Europe, sitting top of the group after wins over Ferencvaros and Juventus.

Koeman admitted he was concerned with his misfiring attackers after Saturday's draw with Alaves, which left them languishing in 12th place in LaLiga, and Kiev coach Lucescu has laid the boot into Barcelona's under-performing stars by insisting they are not good enough to venture far in the Champions League.

On the eve of facing them, he said:  'After the game against Bayern Munich it was understandable that Barcelona were looking to make changes.

'They have a squad with very talented players, but they need time to learn the mechanisms.

'I don't think Barcelona are at the level to win the Champions League at the moment. Bayern Munich, Manchester City or Paris Saint-Germain have more options.

'In any case, they have a footballer in Lionel Messi, who can be very important. A new coach needs a minimum of six months and in spring they will be another team

Lucescu may not see Barcelona as European contenders but his Kiev side will have it all to do on Wednesday as the LaLiga giants have not lost ny of their last 22 group-stage games.
