Barcelona are rubbing their hands together at possible Juan Miranda sale

FC Barcelona transferred Juan Miranda to Real Betis two seasons ago, allowing him to leave for free. They did, however, keep one card. The Blaugrana set a clause to keep 40 percent of the income in case of a sale of the player. A scenario that could happen this summer.

Miranda has one more year on his contract with Betis, until 2024, and it is time to renew or transfer. The Verdiblancos are confident of reaching an agreement to extend his contract until 2027, but his excellent European Under-21 campaign has led to many clubs showing interest.

According to Estadio Deportivo, Porto are the latest club to join a race that already includes Benfica, Milan, Juventus and Olympique Marseille -- important clubs that could present an interesting offer for all parties.

Betis sold their first-choice left-back, Álex Moreno, last winter to Aston Villa for €13.5 million and would accept a proposal of around €10 million for Miranda, who has only one year left on his contract. Therefore, Barça, if this amount is closed, would earn €4 million.

The player is happy at Betis and has expressed on more than one occasion his desire to continue playing for them, but no scenario can be ruled out. Betis are close to transferring Sergio Canales to Monterrey for €10 million, plus €5 million in variables.

The Heliopolis club are in a delicate economic situation and any proposal is valued. In the case of Miranda, they would have to cede almost half of the amount paid to FC Barcelona, but if the offer is important, they would be receptive to listen to it.
