Barcelona in search of another 'manita' at the Bernabeu

Barcelona will be looking to make it five wins on the bounce at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday.

The Catalans have come away with a victory on each of their last four league visits to Real Madrid.

Another victory in the Clasico on Sunday would put them five points clear of their opponents at the top of LaLiga Santander.

The start of their impressive recent run at the Bernabeu came during the 2015/16 season when they ran riot against Rafa Benitez's side.

Luis Suarez (twice), Neymar and Andres Iniesta netted in a 4-0 win for Luis Enrique's men, with Lionel Messi starting on the bench as he returned from injury.

Messi played a pivotal role in winning another three points at the Bernabeu in 2016/17, scoring a first-half equaliser and a last-minute winner in a 3-2 triumph.

That match is remembered for the Argentine's symbolic celebration as he lifted his name and number up to the home crowd.

Another memorable trip to the Bernabeu came the season after as Messi, Suarez and Aleix Vidal found the net in a 3-0 win while Dani Carvajal was sent off for handball.

Last season, Real Madrid hosted Barcelona twice in the space of a few days. After beating Los Blancos 3-0 in the Copa del Rey, Ernesto Valverde's side also took the league spoils thanks to Ivan Rakitic's sole goal.

If they manage to chalk up their fifth league win in a row at the Bernabeu on Sunday, they'll also pull five points clear at the top of the table.
