Barcelona want De Ligt but are also keeping tabs on De Jong

In the spectacular 3-0 win for the Netherlands against Germany, Barcelona targets Frenkie de Jong and Matthijs de Ligt could only have seen their stock rise.

There has been much talk about de Ligt, especially given that the Catalan club only have Gerard Pique as a right-footed centre-back in their ranks.

Talk also continues between the parties for De Jong because Sergio Busquets and Ivan Rakitic are now 30 years old, and the young Dutchman could be the start of Barcelona's next midfield generationa.

Both players have made positive noises, especially De Ligt who has let it be known that he would potentially prefer Barcelona to Manchester.
