According to the latest report from COPE correspondent Victor Navarro, after the second offer was rejected, Barcelona does not intend to raise their bid for Rodri to a fixed transfer fee of 70 million euros, hoping to reach an agreement with Manchester City for a maximum of 65 million euros + variables.
Reportedly, Barcelona made a second offer to Manchester City for Rodri in the past few hours, with a fixed transfer fee of 60 million euros, but Manchester City considered this insufficient, and Barcelona does not intend to raise the fixed transfer fee to 70 million euros.
They hope to reach a deal with a maximum fixed transfer fee of approximately 65 million euros, plus some variable clauses to help persuade Manchester City. Tomorrow, Rodri will join Maresca's training.
Neither party believes the deal might fall through, and the player is also confident the deal will be completed. Manchester City is asking for more money because they are pursuing Enzo and hope to maximize their profits without jeopardizing the deal.
