According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona has reached second place among global football clubs with a valuation of $7.5 billion, trailing only Real Madrid's $9.5 billion valuation, according to Forbes' updated 2026 club value rankings. Spotify Camp Nou is not yet fully operational, and there is significant room for further revenue and club value growth once the stadium is fully completed.
Barcelona will announce its specific revenue figures for the 2025-26 fiscal year on Monday, which are expected to approach €1.1 billion, setting a new club record and exceeding the €994 million from the 2024-25 fiscal year. In Forbes' latest 2026 football club value ranking, Barcelona's valuation reached $7.5 billion, moving up from third to second place, surpassing Man United's $7.2 billion valuation. Only Real Madrid, with a valuation of $9.5 billion, currently ranks ahead of Barcelona.
However, Forbes' assessment was based on data from the end of the 2024-25 fiscal year, not the 2025-26 fiscal year. During the 2025-26 season, the available capacity of Spotify Camp Nou increased from 45,401 seats beginning November 22, 2024, to 62,652 seats between March 15 and May 17. May 17 marked Barcelona's last home game of the season at Spotify Camp Nou.
Following Barcelona and Man United, Liverpool ranked fourth with $6.2 billion, and PSG ranked fifth with $5.8 billion. Bayern was sixth with $5.7 billion, Man City seventh with $5.5 billion, Arsenal eighth with $5.4 billion, Chelsea ninth with $4.2 billion, and Tottenham tenth with $3.0 billion. The valuation gap between Barcelona and Real Madrid could still be significantly different within about a year and a half. By then, Spotify Camp Nou is expected to be fully completed with a stadium capacity of 104,600 seats.
The Santiago Bernabéu Stadium has been operating at full capacity for two years following its renovation and currently has 83,186 seats, with fully operational VIP areas.
For Barcelona, some double-deck VIP areas between the second and third tiers of Spotify Camp Nou became operational this season. Once the entire stadium project is completed, there will be 9,400 VIP seats. These VIP areas will become a significant source of sustained revenue for the club and will help further increase Barcelona's valuation in the eyes of Forbes and other investors.
Compared to the previous year, Barcelona's valuation increased by 33%. A year ago, the team was still playing its home games at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys.
Barcelona's current market valuation is $7.5 billion, up from $5.65 billion in 2025. According to Forbes' breakdown of Barcelona's valuation, the commercial component is valued at $3.012 billion, television rights at $1.682 billion, ticketing and matchday-related revenue at $1.454 billion, and the Barcelona brand at $1.352 billion.
In the global ranking of all sports clubs, Barcelona ranks 15th. The NFL team Dallas Cowboys ranked first for another consecutive year with a valuation of $13 billion, the NBA team Golden State Warriors second with $11 billion, the NFL team Los Angeles Rams third with $10.5 billion, and the NFL team New York Giants fourth with $10.1 billion. The NBA team Los Angeles Lakers ranked fifth with $10 billion, and the NBA team New York Knicks sixth with $9.75 billion. Real Madrid ranked seventh globally with a valuation of $9.5 billion, making it the highest-valued football club globally.

Valuation and making a profit are 2 different things, a company could be worth 30 billion and still not be profitable.
