However, nothing could be further from the truth. It has never been in the Catalan club's plans to bring back the young midfielder.
Simons, who left the club's academy in 2019, does not fit the profile of what Barcelona are looking for at this moment in time.
The 19-year-old joined PSV from Paris Saint-Germain, who will surely want to take advantage of a hypothetical transfer or exert their buyback clause first.
