Nico had already impressed the coach last term, and those within the club see a very talented midfielder within the 19-year-old.

He is seen as the natural replacement to Sergio Busquets with his measured passes, dictating of match tempo and impressive vision.

Manaj has been the top goalscorer of pre-season, netting four goals including a hat-trick against Nastic.

He, however, will not stay at the Camp Nou for the rest of the season, as he knows how difficult it will be to claim a space in the senior team in an attacking position. As such, the club are looking to loan out the 24-year-old.
