England superstar Jude Bellingham gives his mum Denise a huge hug after helping Real Madrid claim a 15th European crown.

Also joining celebrations on the pitch were dad Mark and younger brother Jobe, who has starred for Sunderland this season. Jude’s family were so keen they were grabbing a burger in an empty Wembley five hours before kick-off, determined not to miss a minute.

After he and his team-mates lifted the Champions League trophy, Jude went straight to Denise in the stands, putting his winners’ medal around her neck before inviting them down.

Jude then made a beeline for former Real boss Jose Mourinho, working for TNT Sports, and took a snap of him with Denise. TNT Sports mics picked up Jude explaining: “Sorry about that. My mum’s fancied you for years!” The 20-year-old from Stourbridge has settled well in Madrid, thanks in no small part to mum, who manages his financial affairs and shares a flat with him in the exclusive La Finca neighbourhood of the city.

Mark, who was a sergeant with West Midlands Police, has stayed home as Jobe is still in education. Jude said after Saturday’s 2-0 triumph over Borussia Dortmund: “I’ve dreamt of playing in these games. You go through life with people telling you that you can’t do things. Days like this remind you.

“It gets hard sometimes and you wonder whether it’s worth it but nights like this make you realise. I was all right until I saw my mum and dad. Nights like where they could have been at home by 7pm but they’re out until 12am on trips to take me to football. And my little brother, who I’m trying to be a role model for.

“This is the best night of my life.”
