Nike this morning gave us a better look at the special-edition Luka Modric Mercurial Vapor boots. Unfortunately, the company also confirmed that they will not be releasing to the public at all.
Luka Modric today won FIFA's The Best award, becoming the first player outside the Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi duopoly to do so in 11 years.
Celebrating this amazing feat, which recognizes a season which saw Modric win the UEFA Champions League and lead his national team to the World Cup final, Nike has created a special-edition Mercurial boot for the Croatian.

The Nike Mercurial Luka Modric 'The Best 2018' boots have a very colorful, almost iridescent upper with a geometrical pattern appearing all over it. Based on the Mercurial Vapor 12, they feature a large Swoosh on the outstep, inspired by the World Cup colorway.
Unfortunately, the boots will not be available to buy at all.
