Boniek: 'I wouldn't bet on Roma'

Zbigniew Boniek is thoroughly unimpressed with the direction Roma are taking. “I wouldn’t bet a cent on them.”

Now President of the Polish Football Federation, Boniek spent the final three years of his playing career in the Giallorossi jersey until retirement in 1988.

He was in Rome to watch one of his horses race when he spoke to Radio Radio about the current squad.

“I just bet €20 on a race today, but I wouldn’t bet a cent on Roma right now.”

Daniele De Rossi has been released from his contract and Kostas Manolas is on the verge of joining Napoli.
