According to Sport, Bonmatí spent the summer visiting Mexico and the United States, combining vacation time with football, charity, and commercial activities.

Her first stop was Mexico, where she took on one of the most unusual challenges of her career. The three-time Ballon d'Or winner made her debut as a commentator on TUDN Mexico's program "Los Maestros," analyzing alongside football legends such as Juan Pablo Sorín, Miguel Layún, Ricardo La Volpe, Carlos Osorio, and "Piojo" Herrera. In just days, she not only commented on World Cup developments but also provided pre-match and live commentary for Spain's debut against Qatar.

This experience pushed her out of her comfort zone, and the results were satisfying for both the player and the TV station. In fact, several TV stations have already expressed interest in inviting her back for the knockout stages of the tournament. For Bonmatí, analyzing matches from outside the field is also part of learning: observing football from a different perspective helps her better understand the game and continue to grow as a player.

"Bonmatí, sister, you are Mexican!"

During her time in Mexico, she also participated in Nexen and Adidas events and attended the Colombia vs. Uzbekistan match at the Azteca Stadium. She also met FIFA President Infantino on the sidelines, and the two chatted briefly before she headed down to the pitch.

However, what surprised her and her team more than the official events was her widespread popularity across the Atlantic. She was constantly recognized by groups of fans on the streets, who asked her for selfies and cheerfully shouted, "Bonmatí, sister, you are Mexican!" This once again demonstrates that the world's best female footballer already has global influence.

San Diego and Los Angeles training camps, Padres guest appearance

After leaving Mexico, Bonmatí traveled to the United States, first to San Diego and then to Los Angeles. In both cities, she hosted training camps for nearly a hundred boys and girls, using methods largely inspired by the Barcelona youth academy system. Bonmatí trained and played with the children, offered advice, and held a discussion about values, emphasizing that the process, daily training, and enjoying the journey matter more than individual awards.

In San Diego, she also experienced a quintessentially American activity. The San Diego Padres invited her to Petco Park to perform the traditional first pitch ceremony before a Major League Baseball game. She was introduced on the stadium's big screen, received applause from the crowd, and then threw the first pitch.

She then traveled to Los Angeles, where, before joining the training camp, she had a private training session with a top female football team from California. During this time, she also continued filming her career documentary, produced by an American company. She also visited Santa Monica and Venice Beach. Even while watching a World Cup match featuring Brazil, she again felt her popularity: on the streets of Los Angeles, many fans stopped her for a commemorative photo.

The trip also had a heartwarming dimension. In Mexico, Bonmatí helped a young player from an indigenous community fulfill her dream of meeting her in person. In California, she spent an emotional day with two girls suffering from leukemia. These two girls came from a foundation that partners with the training camp; Bonmatí exchanged gifts and spent time with them.

Adidas event in New York: Beckham, Rodrygo, Pogba, Russo, and Trinity Rodman on the same stage

These days, Bonmatí is in New York, where Adidas has gathered several global sports superstars. She appeared alongside renowned female footballers, including Sam Kerr (not mentioned by club), Lena Dahmann (Bayern), Chloe Kelly (Arsenal), Linda Caicedo (Real Madrid), Trinity Rodman (Washington Spirit), Alessia Russo (Arsenal), and Jule Brand (OL); she also met male football celebrities such as David Beckham, Marcelo, Rodrygo (Real Madrid), Paul Pogba (Monaco), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), and Cavan Sullivan (Philadelphia Union), as well as NBA players Donovan Mitchell and Moritz Wagner.

This has been an unusual summer for the player. Even while resting, she continues to find new ways to experience football. Whether analyzing games in a TV studio, nurturing the next generation, or solidifying her influence in the American market, Bonmatí is using these weeks to continue expanding her horizons while staying true to football.
