Atletico Madrid fans have a new hero after 19-year-old Borja Garces scored on his debut, but the young striker was disappointed with the 1-1 scoreline.
He netted a last minute equaliser against Eibar at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano, but wasn't entirely happy with the afternoon's outcome.
"We missed some good chances," he said afterwards.
"The debut is a bitter one because I wanted to win.
"It's nice to have scored, but it was a draw and I'd have liked a victory.
"I'm not very happy.
"While every point is important, a victory would have obviously been better."
Asked what Diego Simeone told him when he came on in the 71st minute, he explained that he was asked for effort.
"He told me to fight to the maximum and to stick to Diego Costa to pounce on a ball and put it in," he revealed.
The result now leaves Atletico with five points from four matches.

So this could've been a lot worse than it actually ended being, save for Borja Garces strike in the 94th minute. I don't think we had a particularly bad game today. Defensively it looked pretty decent until Rodri got taken off. After that we lost the midfield.

Problem is Atleti depend so much on what Griezmann and Costa do both as individuals and then their understanding. Neither are at it though. Both suffering physically and it rebounds on rest of system.

Aside from the goal, credit to Borja Garcés for lifting everyone when he came on. Fought for every loose ball, picked up any scraps, made himself a nuisance with movement. Really, really impressive.

Cholo needs to figure out the roles outside midfielders play in this system. As of now, everyone is playing so centrally that there isn’t a crazy amount of width. Juanfran and Filipe Luis don’t bomb forward as much as before. It’s still awkward - they have time to figure it out.
